Cocktail Update: Penicillin and Sidecar

A splendid whisky-based couple. Ok, the sidecar (right) is supposed to be with brandy but I ran out and anyway I’ve done it with whisky before so I knew it would be good. As you can see from the picture, I am halfway through it already. J&B, Triple Sec, Lemon Juice, roughly 4:2:1 ratio. (Half that in measures, don’t worry.)

The penicillin (left) is for my mother-in-law, but I had one myself a few days ago. Slightly like a cold cure that would be worth getting a cold for. J&B: Aberlour: Ginger Wine: Lemon Juice: Agave Syrup, ratio 4:1:1:1:1 (again half in measures).

PS I used to just post the cocktails on social media accounts rather than here, but given the general political fragmentation and billionaire plaything status of them these days I thought I’d put them here and just post links instead. They are part of the “Life” bit, anyway.

PPS Mother-in-law’s review is “Yummy”
